Update John: Apollo 13 mission to heal from a 200 gram mass, live, survive and to thrive: 10-21-2014John is doing wonderfully in healing, maybe we are at the edge of the woods peering out into the light of the meadow. Every time John walks away from me I watch and think wow he looks great as if there is no affects from the mass. It's one step at a time and just a walk with nature taking it's course. No pushing or shoving, just walking and watching. There is a design in nature that helps us just live and move forward.
On Monday we saw a new doctor, Urologist, to make sure all was still ok with John's right kidney. The doctor looked at John's blood work and said your labs look really good. The doctor became quite looked for 30 seconds longer and with a surprised and pleased look on his face said "your healthier then I am. How are you doing this?" He also wanted to know how and why John no longer has to use the bathroom every hour. John always smiles and says "my bio chemist takes good care of me." as he looks at me. I smile and think how different things are now, how it used to be the thought of healing could no even be a possibility let alone what I was telling him would help. I am thankful John took that leap of faith and we arrived into today together.
The doctor looked everything over and said lets do another sonogram of the kidney see if the mass has stopped putting pressure on the system and things are flowing well so we don't have to put a stent in that keeps the system open to drain. We will see what the new test shows and then make a choice to wait or put the stent in. Draining would be awesome and help healing, just nothing comes without risk so we will see.
With the door open to healing and not focused on operations, chemo, or radiation and the mass reducing, the doctor's have been given "permission" to think beyond and find ways to watch, see and decide how to help heal. This is what I have been looking for and with this I hope to help doctor's see more and help others heal as part of the option in the healing process of the body.
