Learn to Activate Empathy....

John, Gary and I have seen many doctor's with sympathy and pity and exclusion of empathy or faith something can heal. If we do not put an importance on Empathy that allows the thought and feeling we all have issues and we all need help to over come one step or a Sudden. IT should start in life, be continued in school and carried with the person to be used in abundance. We may become more connected instead of looking for that perfection that separates, maybe it is a way to solutions we miss often. In the photo above there was little empathy for John or myself or our family by doctor's that came in. The thought was always that John was a dead man already and there was no way for him to heal. It was a lack of understanding of healing and a heavy education on "cures" backed up by pharmaceuticals that leaves a hole in the education and little room for learning. Luckily learning can be don at any time, at any age. . It was and is my job to create empathy to get the best results from the doctors. They need to care and know I expect a real world solution before they will act.
The hardest part with empathy I have read it takes an activation of the vagus nerve (when you get a feeling of the lump in your throat is an over activation of the vagus nerve). We may have a secondary
"Unlike sympathy, which is defined as feeling sorry for another person, clinical empathy is the ability to stand in a patient’s shoes and to convey an understanding of the patient’s situation as well as the desire to help." Or another words empathy is from an equality stand point and not a superior stand point. The price of Dark Happiness my be the loss of empathy.
If doctor's are always being demanded of to give us their best we may need the ones that give them our best even during our time of Sudden. If we say we can not, how can we expect them to do better after all they are human also. May be the issue isn't only the doctors issues, may be it is on the both sides of the stethoscope.
Mindful choices support sustainable life that we gain a freedom like no other, not just more profit for the wealthy. Here's to better

The day that John died was the day Gary started to die, he could not over come the sudden of John's death and try as he might he lost the ability to live. He tried but in the long run just stopped moving. We had long chats and time that was spent was the best but life without the ones we love falls short.
We will forever have a loss and never again have the normal we all wanted, We grow stronger to create a new connection with the living and together we are better.

The door of opportunity knocks softly
I can feel it near, not see it or hear it until it slammed shut
The sound had caught my attention
yet it is too late to keep it open for it is now locked
The key is there waiting to be found to once more open the door of opportunity if only by the fingertips
Life hangs in the balance between ingenuity and stamina
Only time will show the outcome if the door is opened
enough to squeeze through to hold on to the brass ring
and to live holding on to the only value
we carry our minds, bodies and souls.
