The pursuit of happiness isn't always that happy

it's the journey that counts"

Today in the Untied States is the 4th of July the day we celebrate our nations independence from England. The best part is that we are no longer at war with England and have managed to have a long standing relationship of working together many times. All of this celebrating made me thing of the great men that created the ideas that the Untied States is based on. The phrasing of the word, the ability to form the idea, write it down and act upon it. One of my favorite phrases is the concept that as an American citizen we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If the founding fathers were not able to have complex thoughts they would have never been able to come up with and write down such a complex thought of pursuit of happiness.
Even thought the founding fathers were not perfect I wonder if they had eaten the food of today would they have been able to create despite the food they ate. Yes, the founding fathers weren't perfect, yet they would not have been exposed to may items like pesticides, prescription drugs in the water supply, GMO's (genetically modified organisms, fast foods, modified foods, artificial foods, artificial flavors, tons of sweeteners.
The only way to know what the founding fathers were thinking and creating the thoughts that they wrote down on paper for future generations to read and hopefully understand the complexities. The one truth that I find in the words created were finding the best way, it isn't happiness that is important it is the journey to find the happiness. It seems that just like going on holiday it is a continual movement that is enjoyed. The actions of traveling, doing and being that create more then just arriving at a location.
I read recently the happiest part of a vacation is not when they are on vacation, but when they are planing and thinking of where they are going. It seems to be true when I have traveled to Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth, I see an abundance of children crying and unhappy Although I have a feeling just like me they were happy has could be thinking about the just being at Disneyland.
The pursuit of happiness and the reaction to the unexpected on a trip may be the key of why something good could turn bad, turning happiness into sadness. There is no better example of this is when the young girl given a surprise of Disneyland, that they are leaving today was just too much for her or is she her happiness hidden? (see video at top of page). Is it finding a way that leads to happiness?
What would the world be like if we did not have great minds and if the minds we have aren't quite great enough because we aren't proactive enough in our daily lives where will they lead the United States and the world. Freedoms that were fought so hard for may be lost in the wind. We would loose the ability to pursue happiness?
The pursuit of happiness is always there waiting for us to discover. Times are different today for us all, there is no choice in some of what we are exposed to and yet we have the power to say no or yes to other choices. Make great choices to create a great mind that can create ideas.
Looking at the whole picture always helps me make a better choice. Be more proactive we can all become just a little bit better and the more likely the negative results in life can be avoided. Stand up tall with an upright posture and be proactive. The solution helps to keep moving the best direction is to step onto the path of True Health. Discover a new world. Help yourself, help the world, step on to the Path of True Health and vote with your dollars company you want to support to create a world you will love to live in. I do, and I like the world I am helping to create. Together we can create a better life for all to remember over their entire lifetime Together we can protect what we have so we don’t need to live in a world that is second rate.
