It was the year that we put death on hold and created the best Christmas ever. Our smiles were of what could be and to hold on to that hope each and everyday. John will heal was created. The cancerous acting cells of his head sized mass had to be stopped and John would live. In living I did not know the hope that would be creating in other and with hope the thought of life become possible and life happens with possibilities. This is our year we discovered life not death and John has a lot to offer more in life than in death. We hope you find what you need this joyful season and let the spirit of faith carry you though the year.

One long, long year of hope and faith and life:

In the past we were the type of family that looked for the perfect gift to give at Christmas. Bows and boxes were all we all thought of as we wrapped them and placed them under the tree it was the thought of how happy  the person would be that gave us the joy.

Each Christmas Eve we would share with our church family with thoughts or world peace, joy and happiness.  The season was all about giving and it was exciting to see others open their gifts. That was until last Christmas when the boxes and bows didn't matter at all. The rich meaning of Christmas came in one thought, one wish, in one minute to keep John alive each day to heal his mass, with the love of our family, the faith John could heal and hopefully help from the doctor's to keep this family whole. The family knew it would depend on us the most no matter which healing path was taken.

Nov 18, 2013 was the day John was told to "go home and enjoy the holidays with the family" after John was identified with a almost volleyball size sarcoma cancer. By December 3rd John was admitted at Stanford Hospital, we were talking softly in the middle of the night about future days that could be, knowing there may not be a 2nd chance at life and yet with faith in place the strength to heal was there. Desperately looking for something that could be done I placed my bare hand on John's abdomen as I touched to mass I could feel the coldness of this mass that had no brain or heart and yet it was alive and would take John from us or John would heal and kill off the mass. The healing touch is only one of natures and God's small gifts to us all that we used to stop this mass from living freely.

I looked blankly at my hand which curved over the top of the mass and thought, "Life is not a movie and it would take being proactive to find a way to create an ending."

We came home from Stanford and the gift of healing happened with much faith and work to start this job. How do you eat an elephant one bit was on a loop in my mind for days.

Christmas 2013 was not filled with many gifts for our family but the feeling of the meaning of Christmas filled our home and this to date was the happiest Christmas the Cearley family has every had even though we knew the odds were against us we had faith, good science and healing supplies. This time of bonding and looking for answer for John while knowing this could be the last Christmas with John was the day we created Team JOHN (John's ordinary Healing Now) we just had not named our team yet. The longer we have been helping the more we have done to help heal John and help other.

We have found many families who were lost each week and many have called us to find a new way of looking at healing. The best is seeing the change in the nurses and doctors way of thinking from only a "cure" a single idea that misses so much to diversity in healing supporting many ways to heal or test to tell how much progress there is flexibility.

The very idea of cancer changed the course of our families lives. Of a normal life of working and earning money enjoying the normal routine to working 80 hour weeks, researching, creating just one order of healing supplies may take one entire day and usually 3 to 4 days, doctor visits and so on and so on and so on just to have a chance of creating the opportunity of life that take diversity of thought creating ideas with flexibility. The biggest surprise to many was in this journey created.

Cancer changed the course of our lives to look for answers and so far we are beating the odds. After a a year of working to heal John and discovering what happens when we run short or our healing cat, Henry, who stayed with John on his darkest days disappears how much healing is loss. we put our best effort to keeping the ball rolling. We wish there were other answers and in our research we see many new and exciting treatments that work with the body that may take another 10 years to become common place, but for now we can only pray our way will finish the job of healing for John.

Everyday we see the life come back into peoples eyes that have been hurt by cancer with John's story, Everyday we see a hope grow in people. We can not help everyone but we can give a gift of hope and faith for others to lean on in their darkest days. We know there is no guarantee of healing, just an opportunity for us and for John to walk thought the door back to a life that is normal with a new purpose of a conversation for life, John's story of hope creating a chance. May your lives be blessed with finding the richness of Christmas as God interned. Prayers to all without you this road would have been almost impossible. With you all we make an unbeatable team. Please continue to keep John in your prayers for healing, it takes much to build a strong enough immune system to take out this last mass. Faith is where it all begins.

Thank you for believing.
