"Is hope alone enough?"
~ Cynthia G. Creel
April 17, 2013
In an emergency that evolves many, there are few to none that many be able to help at that very moment. There may not be a working cell phone or an ability to move ourselves. We are left to depend on what gifts we have developed within ourselves, what our minds and bodies can create. An emergency can happen any day of any week, for anyone.
I was not at the Boston Marathon bombing, but my mind went out to those hit by the unexpected blast of metal and super heated air. Knowing that some would be in a battle of their lives and others would loose that battle quickly. Reminding me of times I was severely injured, doing what I was able until help arrived.
I had to help myself, no one was there to help me, for a while. I had to push away thoughts of am I bleeding internally to die before help can arrive? It is that moment in time that tells us what we are made of and who we are. Most importantly I believe it tells us if we are the person we would like to be. It is a True Picture of the inner person.
When it comes right down to it, some of the most important battles of our lives we fight alone and hope that someone will be able to help soon. Knowing we are it for the moment.
Hope is only a foundation we can build on to become better. If we keep hope alive, hope can keeps us alive, to live one more day to have a chance to be better than before.
In discovering a new world, there may be more hope found. Help yourself, help the world, step on to the Path of True Health and vote with your dollars to create a world you will love to live in. I do and I like the world I am creating. Together we can create a better life.
