“Stop smoking might have just become easier” 4-18-2013

“Stop smoking might have just become easier”

My Story:

A friend walked by and said she was just going for her smoking walk. I stopped and talked to her we both agreed smoking was a hard habit to break. She said she had tried a million times to stop. It was so expensive she hated to spend money on it, but she just hadn’t been able to stop, yet.

At one time it was polite to offer a cigarette to any adult. My mom didn’t smoke, but once in a while someone would offer her a cigarette. My mom always said “No thank you” and would tell me later how hard it was for her mom and dad, who were never able to stop smoking.
Soon most people knew my mom and dad didn’t smoke and yet almost everyone we knew did smoke. Smoking at one time had Doctor’s advertising it as something good, an implied thought of being “healthy, thin, popular and beautiful” if you smoked. It is no wonder so many did. It is a mind grabbing habit that affects some so greatly.
Possible new answer to stop smoking:

There maybe a new way to help kick an expensive habit. A new study (1) shows levels of vitamin D3 lower in smokers then nonsmokers.  According to the study tobacco increases bone loss and affects bone mass by some alterations in sex hormone metabolism, but also importantly by alterations on the vitamin D and calcium relationship. It appears smoking interferes with the body’s ability to function under normal conditions.

Final words:

Most people I have talked to who smoke usually  say they wish they could stop. One possible way to help yourself if you want to stop smoking is to have your vitamin D3 levels checked by your medical professional. It’s a simple lab test. Sufficient vitamin D3 levels might lead to the success of stopping, when other times didn’t.

In discovering a new world, there may be more hope found. Help yourself, help the world, step on to the Path of True Health and vote with your dollars to create a world you will love to live in. I do and I like the world I am creating. Together we can create a better life.

For all those who wish to quit smoking, I wish you my best and hope for your fast success.
