“Affecting Michael Jackson and millions:
Psoriasis and vitiligo may have new solution. No one should suffer needlessly”

My Story:
If you have it you will know what a pain it is either physically or emotionally. It was awful for a person I know, we will call “Jack” has had large red blotches on the upper body most likely psoriasis. No matter what was done nothing seem to work, until the day the test came back that the Vitamin D3 levels were low. Over the next few months like magic most of the red blotchy spots disappeared.
Was this just one person or could this be more than just one? A new study supports the positive affects of Vitamin D on psoriasis and vitiligo which may bring a new world to many.
Psoriasis affecting 5 million in the United States:
According to Mayo Clinic psoriasis (1) is a common chronic skin disease that causes the skin cells to build up quickly on the surface of the skin creating a thick silvery scales and itchy dry, red patches that may be painful.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) (6) states that psoriasis affects all age groups, both male and females, and is greater than 3% of the Untitled States population or more than 5 million people. Psoriasis may inflame the joints and create symptoms of arthritis call psoriasis arthritis.
Vitiligo affecting 1 in 10 in the Untied States:
According to Mayo Clinic Vitiligo (vit-ih-LI-go) (2) affects the melanin (pigment or coloring of the skin). The coloring is lost when the cells that produce the color of the skin die showing up as growing white patches of irregular shapes on the skin. Vitiligo affects all races and usually is more noticeable in people with darker skin.
The National Institute of Health (NIH) (5) states vitiligo affects 1 out of every 100 people in the Untied States. The cause of vitiligo is unknown and can occur at any age. Vitiligo may be autoimmune disorder where the immune cells may be destroying the cells that create pigment (melanocytes) when immune cells destroy the cells that produce melanocyties
Michael Jackson and vitiligo:
Being super rich, popular or a rock star doesn't give you everything. How much money is it worth to solve a problem with out a prescription drug? The reports were true that Michael Jackson did have vitiligo. The Daily News(4) reported on the pop singer’s death from the coroners office report confirmed Jackson had host of ailments including that he “suffered from vitiligo, a condition that causes the skin to lose pigment.”
New Vitamin D Study show positive affects on vitiligo and psoriasis:

Mayo clinic (1,2) reports there is no cure for vitiligo and psoriasis. Today there may be an answer with the use of vitamin D. A new study show vast improvements of vitiligo and psoriasis. There is new hope from a non prescription treatment of vitamin D. A new study (3) shows dramatic improvement for vitiligo and psoriasis. All patients stared out with low vitamin D status. The authors of the study stated that “High-dose vitamin D3 therapy may be effective and safe for vitiligo and psoriasis patients.” A medical professional should be consulted before any changes are made in lifestyle.
A blood test is required to determine vitamin D3 status. I recommend consulting your medical care professional and finding out your vitamin D3 levels and appropriate treatments.
Final words:
No one should suffer unnecessarily. When we are healthier it shines through our skin. There is a look of healthy skin that just can’t be duplicated by makeup or cover up. The millions that suffer from vitiligo and psoriasis may feel embarrassed to be in public or to even wear something that would uncover this skin disorder, something they are forced to deal with when there are no real answers or when the skin disorder is impossible or difficult to cover. Many have given up on finding answers. Finding a simple solution that helps solve that problem is ideal. Sometimes it is not the money that a person accumulates that counts it is what a person understands. I wonder how much Michael Jackson would have paid some one to solve his skin disorder of vitiligo? And if that had been solved would his life ended so early.
I know my friend finds it priceless not to live with the annoying, itchy, embarrassing, and sometimes painful condition of psoriasis just to look normal again with out any more looks or constant announce of sensation.
