"Turkey with a side order of Superbugs: 90% of samples test found dangerous bacterium” ~ Cynthia G. Creel May 1, 2013

"Turkey with a side order of Superbugs:
 90%  of samples test found
dangerous bacterium”

My Story:

I picked up the ground turkey form the refrigerator and smelled it. I couldn’t remember how long had it been uncooked. I didn’t want to poison myself. The nagging thought came to mind, how many bacteria were on this before I bought it? I didn’t take a change and through it away.

New Consumers Report:

The new ConcumerReports (1)  identifies 90% of the meat tested on different samples of ground turkey had one or more of five different bacteria that were tested for with the majority testing positive  with one or more being a super bug. The use of large mass production farming facilities is speeding the growth of drug-resistant superbugs like enterococcus and Escherichia coli with 69% of ground-turkey samples  found with enterococcus and 60% found of the ground turkey samples with Escherichia coli. A few samples were contaminated with possibly fatal Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus. A safer bet and less likely to contain a antibiotic-resistant super bug was turkey labeled as “no antibiotics,” “organic,” or raised without antibiotics.

Caution is advised:

Things that look ok and really are not or things that look bad and you take a chance both create a greater risk.  With this new report from ConsumerReports the assumption is becoming more clear that we need to assume all ground Turkey is contaminated. Is that enough? If the superbugs are popping up all over the place we must take proactive actions. It is too difficult to “bubble wrap” the world. It is easiest to properly handle what we buy and build our bodies.  This is easier done before a larger outbreak happens.

This most likely is more than turkey, where there is life there are bacteria. How much, how many and how bad is the question.

Discover a new world. Help yourself, help the world, step on to the Path of True Health and vote with your dollars which turkey supplier you want to support to create a world you will love to live in. I do, and I like the world I am helping to create. Together we can create a better life for all to remember over their entire life time. Together we can protect what we have so we don’t need to live in a world that is second rate.
