“Words that help, not hurt:
Please do not disturb the bees”

In the search for quality products I search far and wide. It is always interesting what is presented as quality and what truly is. As our knowledge changes so does our judgment on what is the best path to take. The new path that I have forged has taken me far from my “half truth” thinking and actions from over three years ago.
What works and what doesn’t always surprises me. I noticed a sign on a bulk honey dispenser that stated, “Please do not disturb the bees” The first time I saw it my mind jumped to the idea for two tenths of a second to “Bees are in there?” Then I laughed to myself and thought no that is just a cleaver way to keep people out. I thought about it as I shopped and really thought how powerful the statement was. Even though I logically knew there were no bees and I am not afraid of bees the thought of disturbing bees was different.
I became aware that my thoughts had been grabbed though a primal directive in my subconscious to protect myself from harm. The future trips to the store would show me the power of words phrased correctly to prevent unthinking people from going where they should not or buying what they did not need.
Over the last year when I stood near the container of honey and others have been present it has been quite often that I have been asked, “Are there really bees in there?” I always smile and replied, “No.”
This one little statement and all the activity it created was amazing. The one result it helped to create was few people, if any, wanted to see for themselves if there were bees under the lid. For the store it worked to keep people out of the place the customer had no place being and save them time and money without saying one harsh word. Advertising at it’s best.
In fact when I was talking to someone about honey they suggested the honey where the bees lived inside the container. I smiled and at first thought they were joking, Later I realized the possibility that logic may not override the strength of the statement of “not disturbing the bees”. The belief in the authority of the store’s statement based on no fact, the lack of evidence of never opening the container to disprove the statement and the fear that if there are bees inside and they are disturbed they may sting the person opening the container are all enough reasons to create some folklore.
The creative of one person found the key that advertisers look for, to create desirable actions from just words or pictures without a thought of logic. Advertising that works runs off emotions that run deep and control what actions we take in the long run. Advertising has no moral compose except for those who have created it. If ads are only profit driven it leads to a very different result than if the ads promote a product that is a true benefit for the customer.
Try and experiment with the advertising that is present in your life. Look for the buttons of fear, love, happiness, contentment that they promote and add a little logic of why it is a good idea and see where the thoughts leads you.
The humor of what is being said may shine though leading to a different path. Be proactive. The solution helps to keep moving the best direction is to step onto the path of True Health. Discover a new world. Help yourself, help the world, step on to the Path of True Health and vote with your dollars company you want to support to create a world you will love to live in. I do, and I like the world I am helping to create. Together we can create a better life for all to remember over their entire lifetime Together we can protect what we have so we don’t need to live in a world that is second rate.
