"Water can kill or give life: some dogs die from algae?" ~ Cynthia G, Creel

"Dogs die from algae? What happens to one, can happen to many.
Water can give life or take life."

~ Cynthia G. Creel

One dog dies or two, what is the big deal? Life moves forward no matter what we do. The planet adapts to the environmental and changes happen. Are they friendly changes is the real question. In the bigger picture of life it is not the short term gain that is important, it is what happens in the long term that is the true picture of good or bad.

The micro world is the world that runs life. We see the evidence in many ways, the water is clear and drinkable, the sky is clear blue, the food is abundant and nutritious, the body is pain free and healthy.

Algae that kills is a problem, a large problem in lakes and Oceans. It is a necessary part of the environment and works well when not in excess. The lakes are low on water and there hasn't been as much rain (in parts of the country) so the algae grows in excess because it can. What is naturally there to control grow is now gone, deep water. As reported by Wane.com(1)

We all know there will be times of drought, floods and everything in between. If a larger effort was taken to counter the actions of nature there would be more water in the lakes and less algae preventing a problem from happening.

These issues are larger then life, overwhelming to most, it shuts down the brain and most just say, "Oh well, can't do anything about it, I will be fine." This is where a healthier nation is able to act together to create a new outcome. An unhealthy nation becomes reactionary and unable to act to change an outcome.

In the 70's we stopped much of the pollution and littering from happening. Rivers became alive again. People worked together. This can only happen when most people can think clearly. Today 80% of the American population is unhealthy allowing for limited thinking and becoming overwhelmed easily leading to shutting down the thinking process and doing nothing. Doing nothing is something in that it doesn't stop something else from happening.

To solve any challenge, to help the world work better, we must start with ourselves. A healthy nation is a nation that can do anything like land a person on the moon. A nation in need is one that travels in circles never stepping forward. The choice to change is in each of our hands and with change there is hope and a new reality to make life better.
