“Will the Taco Bell’s new Cool Ranch taco break the record of 300 million in one year?:
Is this a sign of mindless eating?”
~ Cynthia G. Creel
The wait is over! Well, the new Cool Ranch version of the popular Doritos Locos taco that sold 300 million tacos (1) in one year I am sure the corporation is wondering if this taco will beat that record. Time will tell. How many will buy and only think this taste sooooo good? I think it is a safe bet that is what the food industry, in this case Yum Yum’s Taco Bell wants, no thinking, just buy. What is a taco with out a "got to have a drink" with the taco. Which drink makes not difference to Taco Bell order a Pepsi, Mountain Dew or Diet Pepsi, just not water (that is free). It is all the same to them.
A company know that they have hit the "sweet spot" when sells go though the roof for one product, their research has paid off. They didn't have to guess that they would create an anticipation for having a Cool Ranch taco that is so strong a person might think about it all day and then have to eat 2 or 3 or more just to feel full, not satiated, more like a holiday feast taking away energy and thought and just the feeling of wanting to sleep, sleep, sleep. The Doritos Locos sold 300 million in one year, wonder what this new mindless delight will add up too?
Is this just another example of the food industry manipulations with the only goal is to obtain more profits? Unless you think this Cool Ranch taco is going to help your body and mind to be the best that you can be, you might think differently. Or will it be that diet or sugary sweet drink that will help you think? Mindless food consumption allows a profit driven company to lead anyone down a path of happiness headed towards a cliff of "how did this happen to me". While they smile happily putting all the money they can rake in into their coffers.
Take control, vote with your dollars and ignore the voice that says, “I want.” Become the person you always could be and help America become stronger, not weaker. Step on to the path of True Health. You will find out the strength of what you are missing very quickly.
